Made it!

After what seemed like a very (very, very) long drive, we made it safely to Ohio. We're now resting, unpacking, and trying to get settled in. More updates and photos soon!

Shhhh...

Baby's sleeping! Harper fell asleep for a nap all by herself just a few minutes ago. I'd better use the rest of my time wisely to eat something and get ready to go to Kansas City today. We're headed to see Aunt Julie and her new house!

P.S. Harper rolled over twice from her tummy to her back all by herself! She is not crazy about tummy time. :)

Hi Daddy!

We Made It!

Ok, you can't really tell from the photo that Harper is on her first airplane ride to Kansas, so you'll just have to take our word for it. Harper was SO GOOD on the airplane yesterday. As a matter of fact, she was so good all day yesterday. I kept looking at her thinking that she might lose it at any minute, but she was absolutely perfect for the whole trip. The photo above is exactly how she was for the first hour and a half of the trip. After that, she got to eat, and then she fell asleep for the rest of the ride. We had a great day and were excited to see Grandma and Grandpa.

AND, Harper had another big moment yesterday. She fell asleep all by herself in a big girl crib! We'll take some photos soon. :)

Week 5, Day 5 (Day 40)

Harper loves her bath! We both managed to get clean yesterday and took lots of naps!

AND, Lea gave me the wonderful photos she took of Harper on the day she and Dave took care of her. These are two of my favorites. Harper was 19 days old.

Happier Day So Far

Rough Day

Harper was convinced today that she didn't need to nap and must be starving which meant that she was fussy all day. I guess she's decided that she's a big girl now. I don't suppose she'd like me to point out that big girls don't cry quite so much. Unless they are a sleep deprived mommy. Kidding. :)

It's Crazy Around Here

The photo says it better than I can. We've reached the point of major transition and upheaval. The packing process has reached our little nest (the bedroom) and we are none too happy about it.

In other news, Harper is getting bigger! She is sleeping from around 10 or 11 PM until around 4 or 5 AM, and she has outgrown the first of her newborn clothes (some little onesies from Grandma Ruby).

Sometimes You Feel Like A Nap

Sometimes you don't.

Shhhh... Baby's Sleeping

And I should be too! One of these days I'll get more than five hours of sleep in a whole night and be able to write coherently. For now, the photos will just have to do. (Now I wait to hear from parents who only get two minutes of sleep a night... From now on I'll try to remember how lucky we are.)

4 Weeks, 4 Days

(or something like that)

I think she's starting to wonder what kind of people she got dropped off with.

4 Weeks Old

This post is brought to you by the makers of the baby swing and baby carrier. Life is good. :)

We love our activity mat that Grandma Jane reworked for us too! And a big thanks to Rosemarie too for giving us the mat in the first place!

We're doing just fine except for missing Daddy whole bunches. We love you!
